A meeting of the District Road Safety Committee was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Partha Gupta in the conference hall of the District Secretariat, in which the rules of road and traffic were carefully considered and necessary directions were given to the concerned officers so that road accidents could be reduced. People’s lives can be saved. On this occasion, Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Das Arora, Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal, high officials of National Highway Authority of India, Jagadhri SDM Sushil Kumar, Radaur SDM Dilbag Singh, Secretary R.T.A. and District Transport Officer DrSubhash Chandra, Executive Engineer of Public Works Department (Building and Road) Rajkumar, Executive Engineer of Municipal Corporation Ravi Oberoi, officers of Police Department and other departments were present.

In the meeting, Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Das Arora said that road safety is not only an important subject but priceless lives can be saved by reducing road accidents. He said that three-three riders should not roam on a motorcycle in different parts of the city, all should not wear helmets, do not blow siren, youth should not burst firecrackers of bullet motorcycles, do not drink while sitting in parks or cars, do not drive under intoxication, Do not disturb the parks in the evening, the concerned officials should ensure that and the aboveTo ban everyone, take legal action as per rules.He said that one-way traffic should be established on the roads leading from Pyara Chowk to Nehru Park and DAV Girls College. So that there is no crowd here. He said to fix the broken grills on the roads

Deputy Commissioner Partha Gupta also discussed the safe school vehicle policy in the meeting of the District Road Safety Committee. He said that while a person loses his life due to death in a road accident, his family also has to face challenges throughout his life. He directed the officers to do the work of repair of roads at identified black spots and accident prone places with special priority to reduce road accidents. He said that there is a complete ban on the entry of heavy vehicles on the roads of urban and municipal areas from 8 am to 8 pm. Therefore, owners and drivers of heavy vehicles should ensure that they do not take their vehicles on the roads of urban and municipal corporations from 8 am to 8 pm. If he does so, strict legal action will be taken as per the rules. He directed the concerned officers to fix the traffic lights and repairable street lights on the main roads at the earliest. He said that officers can become partners of virtue while performing their daily duties by reducing road accidents and saving priceless lives. In the meeting, Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goel also expressed his views and instructed the traffic police personnel to expedite the challans of vehicles running at a speed exceeding the prescribed limit.
