Yamunanagar. Divers will no longer hold their breath to save lives drowning in canals and rivers. For this, the Municipal Corporation has arranged diving sets and breathing air compressor kits for divers. At the same time, two more diving sets and breathing compressor kits have been ordered. On Tuesday, Municipal Commissioner Ajay Singh Tomar himself inaugurated it wearing a diving set and breathing air compressor kit. After this, it was handed over to the divers of the corporation Amar Singh and Ramkesh, this diving set and breathing compressor kit. With this facility, divers will now be able to search for people who are submerged in more depth in the water.

Please tell that Yamuna River, Somanadi, Western Yamuna Canal, Magnificent Canal and other rivers are passing through the district. Of these, the Western Yamuna Canal passes through the center of the city. In the summer season, every day the incident of drowning comes to the fore while bathing in canals and rivers. At the same time, some people get upset with life and jump in the canal. But divers still did not have enough equipment to find these drowning lives. Due to which divers could not search for people who were submerged in the water for a long time. Because after a few moments of submerging in the water, his breath started becoming short. In such a situation, goods were brought from Kurukshetra and other districts when required. In the event of a major accident, many times a team of divers had to be called from Kurukshetra itself. To provide diving set and breathing compressor kit to the divers of the corporation, a tender of about Rs 7.80 lakh was issued by the corporation a few months back. After which the Municipal Corporation has now arranged for diving set and breathing compressor kit. On Tuesday, Corporation Commissioner Ajay Singh Tomar gave this kit to the divers of the corporation. Corporation Commissioner Ajay Singh Tomar said that we have ordered two more diving sets and breathing compressor kit, the divers should not face any problem. With the availability of diving set and breathing compressor kit, divers will now be able to search for the drowned person till the bottom of the water.

A diver can stay in water for 45 minutes by wearing a kit.

Every year the number of people drowning in the rivers and canals of the district is more than 50. The figure increases during the summer. The number of drownings is highest in the Western Yamuna Canal and Magnification. When the diver can only hold his breath for a minute or one and a half when he is underwater, to search for drownings in the canal. After this, breathlessness starts. This is the reason why the body of the drowned person could not be found for three days. After 72 hours the dead body comes out on its own. But wearing the kit, the diver can search by staying in the water for 30 to 45 minutes. Therefore, divers will now be able to search for people who are submerged in the canal for a longer time

Now divers will be able to search even in deep pools

The area of river and canal in the district is about 74 km. Due to mining in the Yamuna river, huge pools have been formed. In such a situation, the need for diving set and air compressor kit is even more here. Apart from this, there are also deep pools in the Western Yamuna Canal. The pools are so deep that the whole elephant can be absorbed in it. Can’t go into these pools without the kit. Often the dead bodies of people drowned in these pools get trapped and do not come out. After filling the body with water, they come up only after about 72 hours. Therefore, a diving set was also necessary to bring out the dead bodies of the drowned people quickly.
