YAMUNANAGAR – Accused arrested with illegal country-made pistol or two live cartridges


YAMUNANAGAR, Jan 24 – Police spokesperson Chamkaur Singh said that the Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goel has given strict instructions to the district police to crack down on those possessing illegal weapons. Acting under these instructions, the team of Crime Branch-1 has arrested a youth with an illegal weapon. Against whom a case was registered and presented in the court. There are already two cases registered against the accused which are pending in the court.


In-charge Rakesh Matoria told that his team had received secret information that a young man is roaming with illegal weapons at Vishwakarma Chowk. On the basis of this information, a team of Sub Inspector Pramod Walia, Ramkumar, Randhir, Vimal, Vinod and Krishna was formed. And team go to the spot & arrested the youth – who was roaming there. When he was searched, a country-made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from him. During interrogation, who was identified as Kuldeep alias Chimma son Gurwinder Singh, resident of Sharma Colony camp. In the past, two cases of assault are registered against the accused in 2020 or 2021. which is pending in court

YAMUNANAGAR – 207 positive cases of corona came in the district on Monday

Yamunanagar, January 24 – Deputy Commissioner Partha Gupta informed about the status of corona that on January 24, 207 positive patients of corona have come to Yamunanagar district and 291 positive cases have been cured. The recovery rate of Kovid-19 in district Yamunanagar has gone up to 94.90 percent. The doubling rate of the district is 384 days. He informed that the corona test of 47.60 percent of the total population in the district has been done. So far, a total of 27811 patients have been found corona positive in the district, out of which 80 are from other places outside Yamunanagar. So far 26395 corona positive patients have been cured in the district.

Civil Surgeon DrVijay Dahiya said that now there are 983 active corona patients in the district, out of which 885 corona patients are at home and 98 patients are admitted in the hospital. So far, a total of 572243 samples have been taken, out of which the report of 538792 samples has come negative and the report of 1275 people is yet to come.
